D&B PHILIPPINES HOSTS BREAKFAST FORUM FOR TOP BPO EXECUTIVES ON MANAGING KEY STAKEHOLDERS

As part of its commitment to provide commercial information and insights to businesses, D&B Philippines organized an executive breakfast forum last 16 June 2011 at the Makati Shangri-La, Manila which was attended by top executives from one of the country’s fastest growing sectors, the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry. With the theme “Critical Insights in Managing Key BPO Stakeholders,” the event sought to fill a knowledge gap seen in the industry by featuring the Director General of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), Lilia B. de Lima, as keynote speaker to specifically address ongoing concerns related to the management of relationships with local government units. In closing, she urged the BPO industry, majority of which are PEZA-registered, to coordinate with her office for any governmental concern so that PEZA may assist them in settling the matter.
D&B Philippines’ EVP/GM Sheila Lina was also on hand to deliver a talk on the value of information in managing business relationships with other important stakeholders such as suppliers, customers, employees, and investors. She also highlighted the importance for businesses in having accurate information in order to mitigate risk and expand business opportunities. To further these points, she presented cases of major Philippine corporations who, through the use of D&B’s various solutions, were able to save money, increase profitability, and minimize their risk in doing business.
The event was supported by the Business Processing Association / Philippines (BPA/P), with BusinessWorld as the exclusive media sponsor.
